In “RIP, the Middle Class: 1946-2013” by Edward McClelland,
he talks about how America started off in this awesome economy where everyone
was making roughly the same amount and you didn’t even need a college degree
because jobs were so readily available for kids right out of high school. This
didn’t last for very long because of inflation and everything else which means
that many people started losing their jobs and making money became a more and
more difficult thing. Even with it still being rather hard to find a job out of
college, I believe that if you try your hardest and work with everything you
have, you can achieve success. I was taught from a young age that if you give
whatever you do in life your all, you will find a way and everything will work
out. Nothing comes easy in life and if you want something you’re going to have
to put in effort to achieve it. If you want a job that makes $80,000 a year
then you’re going to have to go to college, and work your butt off to get the
grades and eventually get your degree. The things you do in college, such as
extra curricular activities and internships also help determine your success.
If you put in the effort and time, the results will pay off.
