"Dadbod" and "The Death of Pretty" Summary

In the article pertaining to “Dadbod,” simply expresses a new trend that is getting more attention than anticipated, about a way a man’s body simply looks and their attitude brings in multiple candidates pertaining to their love life. This article explains that many men, are like everyone else and accepted in todays society, wether they are skinny as a stick or on the chubby side. The major idea I got out of this article was simply that it shouldn't matter the way a man looks, even if he is uncomfortable with his size. Simply because either way the women insists on being the one in the relationship with more beauty.
In the article pertaining to “The Death of Pretty” the author is stating that women in this age have lowered there requirements as to who they date, by wether they get called “hot” or “pretty.” Stating that pretty is becoming extinct, would very much be accurate, personally I would rather be called beautiful. When I was in elementary school I loved being called pretty, but now I am more grown up and feel as if “pretty” is more for younger adolescence. The main idea about this article is simply that the word “pretty” is a dying concept that should be relived.

  1. Hi Alyssa!!!
I totally agree with your blog post. I think that the whole concept is kind of irrelevant in most situations and doesn’t really pertain to us. I like what you said about either way women want to be the prettier one in the relationship. It is more of a self confidence thing because most women are very insecure. I agree with your other statement as well with pretty being extinct. I never thought about this topic in much depth either with the whole innocent concept. I like the point you made about beautiful being a better word to be called. It is more common these days. Pretty is still out there but hot is used way much more. Yes, pretty is a nice word but beautiful is just as good if not better. All women want is to really just to be called something sweet I don’t think that the word is an issue. As long as it is not hot. Anything is really better than that. To sum it up I agree with your blog post and I think I have the same idea about it all just like you. You did a really good job and I enjoyed reading your blog post. Love you sista!!!
